広い島 NO TIENE NADA QUE ENVIDIARLE A PARIS

Artist Talk at the SAISON Foundation

Mapped to the Closest Address(MaCA) is an interspecies dance collective consisting of four humans (Alex Viteri, Catalina Fernandez, Shuntaro Yoshida, and Maharu Maeno) and one cat, Violetta. Through their choreographic practice, MaCA is developing a project that questions society's move toward modernization and colonialism, while at the same time questioning human attitudes toward the natural environment and encouraging a shift in anthropocentric perspectives. The artist talk will feature Corey Tamler, a Berlin-based author of numerous articles on experimental dance and performance, who introduces MaCA's non-human approach and methodology.

Place I Morishita Studio (Tokyo, Japan)
Date I 12.9.2022 7p.m.-8.30p.m.
Translation I Kanoko Tamura
Special guest I Corey Tamler
Modelator I Taro Inamura
